All Saints Church Outreach Commission • • • Reaching Out

Due to the recent concern for homeless and hungry children from our area, as featured on CBS's 60 Minutes, the following suggestions have been made as the best way to help:

Bring nonperishable food in bags that the schools can give out to the children most in need.
Provide gift cards for food and gas. "Gift cards are the best thing to distribute," said Christina Savino, the homeless education liaison for Orange County Public Schools. "We have the Kids' Closet for anyone interested in donating clothes."

All Saints has implemented a new initiative called the Love Wins Food Program to provide boxes of food to needy families. Click here for an update and details on how you can help...

Fellow parishioners, did you know that you and the other members of OUR church have given back nearly two million dollars to Christian charities in the last ten years? In case you didn't know this, please read on, we have lots more good news to share. The Outreach Commission is responsible for faithfully distributing nine percent (9%) of All Saint's plate and pledge offerings to organizations which meet certain criteria established by the Vestry. These groups make presentations to the members of the Outreach Commission addressing the group's particular mission, financial status, Christian principles, and how the gift will be used to further Christ's kingdom.

There are more organizations asking for help with identified needs than there are funds available. If you have a discerning spirit, compassion for those in need, or would just plain like to get involved feel free to join us, as an active member, on the first Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the library in the Winderweedle Center. Come help us allocate the Lord's resources to organizations needing assistance and meeting our criteria.
