Liturgy is when the people of God gather together to experience, reflect on, and respond to the saving deeds of God within our cultures and tradition. The role of an acolyte is to assist the congregation and clergy in the experience, reflection on, and response to God. Acolytes assist in service progression as well as keeping the congregation focused on the liturgy.
